So you would think that having a hunk on the cover would basically give away the book right? You would also think that having the title name “Fighter’s Kiss” is about fighters and clearly.. lots of kissing..
However, what I was not expecting was the turmoil that I was taken through when reading this book. This story line had me utterly enthralled in the passionate but broody character of Declan Gallagher. Blake did such a great job in keeping this story line relating to real life feelings that nearly every person on this earth may feel at times.
The struggle that Gallagher had between his past and present, due to a car accident that destroyed his career as a MMA Fighter, is such a common issue that most people have in reality. His new employee River, is there to pull him back to the present and remind him how to love, laugh and move on from his past. Using these issues to base a story line off just creates an immediate pathway for any reader to be pulled into the story. There were times during this book where I wanted to laugh and there were times were I wanted to scream. But what was good about this book, was the fact that two characters kept coming back to one another for comfort and security. This is what everyone wants in relationship.
And I mean, what’s wrong with having a hunky man as the main character? I can tell you right now, that it is definitely NOT a problem. Sienna Blake knows one way to write a hell of a book.
I completely think that this book deserves the stars. This definitely will not be my last book that I read from Sienna Blake.
